The Module 1 aims to describe and explain which is the role of a mentor in the context of the MAV project. In specific:
■ it starts with a brief connection with the historical background of the word ‘mentor’ and
■ then with the specific capacities (skills and attitudes) associated with the person as mentor
■ it provides practical tools an examples on how these skills are applied in practice of mentoring
Module 2 is about Motivation and Guidance. Motivation in the context of migrants integration by volunteers is associated with:
■ Understanding of the previous experience
■ Reflection on personal biographies in a creative way
■ Building relationships
This module introduces you to basic principles of learning a language. Here you will receive a basic introduction to
■ Languages and family of languages on our globe
■ The four dimensions of language (speaking, listening, reading, writing) and the GRF
■ Basic elements of a language (words, idioms, phrases, grammar, letters, non-verbal communication)
■ Methods and formats of how to learn a new language
■ Types of learners of new languages
■ Hints and tips to overcome challenges in language learning
This module is about literacy in contemporary societies. For someone to be literate nowadays it means more than to be able to write and read. It means also to be digital literate, using the online media, languages, understanding the messages imbedded
in online media (ICT world), to be critical, to expand learning opportunities in a life-long learning approach to advance his/her life skills for Europe.
This module explains the basic skills and competences required to be an entrepreneur. Each learner has different skills and competences but these can be developed in order to achieve entrepreneurial aims and targets. Basic skills needed to be a successful
entrepreneur and how to develop them is explained in this unit to provide support and guidance to the adult learners.
