Elements of a language

In simple words, a language consists of some common elements or features:

Vocabulary (lexic) – the words we use
Grammar – a structure we use to express functions such as present, past, future, active, passive etc.
Syntax – the word order when we speak or write a language
Orthography – the way to write correctly (no spelling errors)
Spelling – the way we write a language (the words)
Pronounciation – the way talk and pronouce the words of a language
Semantic – the level of „meaning“ and thus a more difficult concept behind language
